Club closing
March 16, 2020
Thank you for all your support through these last few weeks. Because of your support and vigilance, we have successfully navigated through this unique time posed by the Coronavirus. We have no staff or members testing positive for Covid-19.
The safety of our Members and Staff is our top priority. We continue to make decisions with the health and well-being of our members and staff in mind. Having closely monitored the Coronavirus these last few weeks and making adjustments where necessary, we now must take action to comply with the Contra Costa Health Services Order, dated March 16, 2020. To that end, we are closing the Club effective 11pm Monday, March 16, 2020, until further notice.
Given that the Coronavirus is complex and evolving, it is our intention to re-open as soon as deemed appropriate by Contra Costa Health Services.
Thank you for all your support and we look forward to welcoming you back!
Please continue to look for our e-mail updates.

- Massage services are suspended until further notice
- Cafe will be offering only our bottled beverages and packaged bars and snacks
- We have reduced the reservation availability in Childcare to help spread usage across the day
- TRX classes have been reduced to allow for better spacing

As we navigate the rapidly developing changes and recommendations from the CDC and Contra Costa County Health Department, we are modifying our Group Exercise class policies to limit class size to 20 participants per class.
Per the County Health Department's recommendations on social distancing, limiting the number of participants will allow for ample spacing in classes.
This will begin Saturday, March 14, 2020 until further notice.
To sign-up for classes please ask for a number upon check-in at the Front Desk.
Please check the online Group Exercise schedule and App for last minute changes to classes. Download the Oakwood Athletic Club app Androids and iphones in the App Store
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure the health and well-being of our members and staff.

As the COVID-19 community impact continues to evolve, we want to keep our community abreast of our continued efforts. We know that the situation is continuously changing and are continuing to monitor, maintain, and take as much precaution as we can to mitigate to possibility of exposure to the virus.
Steps to keep Oakwood and our surrounding community safe:
- Stay home if you are sick and remain at home until you feel well
- Wipe down equipment and surfaces before and after use. *Please dispose of wipes in trash cans after use.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, particularly before and after working out and using equipment,
- Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water is not available. Ensure you rub the sanitizer thoroughly between your fingers, outside of hands, and fingertips and allow to dry
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with your unwashed hands
- Use a barrier, such as a paper towel or tissue, to touch commonly touched surfaces, such as bathroom door handles and elevator buttons
We are cleaning surfaces throughout the day to clean and disinfect as much as possible. Please continue to help us by wiping surfaces and equipment before and after use.

- People who are sick should stay home from Oakwood until they are well
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with your unwashed hands
While working out, please ensure you: - Wipe down equipment before and after use
