Lafayette City Meet

This meet is for the summer recreation swim teams in Lafayette. They include LMYA, Las Trampas, Oakwood, Rancho Colorados, Springbrook, and Sun Valley. It is quite a bit more intense with close to 1,000 swimmers participating.  No cut off times and quite a few of the best swimmers in the area participate. Ages are determined by the swimmer’s age on June 15^th. Age group classifications are: 6 and under, 7-8 years, 9-10 years, 11-12 years, 13-14 years, and 15-18years. Each swimmer may participate in three events of their choice, plus relays. All four strokes and the Individual Medley are in the program. There are heats and finals. Finals are determined by the 8 fastest times in the morning heats. Awards: medals for 1^st  to 8^th in the individual events and 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place in the relay events. This meet is scheduled to be held at the Acalanes High School Pool, in Lafayette.
